Living on Purpose
Purpose: the Webster's Dictionary defines purpose as; denoting an intention,
having intent.
How many of us are going along asleep, as it were, really not aware of our
purpose in this life? Are we to stumble along our Path endlessly? Can we say
this is all life is meant to be? Or do wake up to a realization there is
Purpose, with a capital P to life?
How, then do we wake up?
Simple. By being fully conscious, and in the Now. Practice being in the Now by
seeing life from a perspective of innocent perception. Have the intention to
really look at everything you see, hear, taste, touch. Looking at the world as a
child looks at the world around them. Be full of gratitude for everything around
you.
Only you came to earth to complete the very specific purpose or mission. There
is a contract you signed before you were born. Without you, it will never come
to completion.
Have the intention to find the answer for your own individual purpose. As we set
intention for everything we do, we are in the Now. When you are awakening, and
in the Now, then ask yourself, "what is my Purpose?" stay quiet, and wait for
the answer deep inside of you.
Not sure how to 'be' quiet?
Point To Practice:
Challenge yourself: no T.V. or radio for just one day.
Go out in Nature and listen. Really listen. That's when you give yourself a
chance to speak to You. Ask the question. "What is my purpose"? You
may even begin to enjoy the peace that life without T.V. and radio brings you.
Think of it as a gift to yourself.
The gift you will receive in return will be an answer you have been waiting for
all along.
Set the intention to discover your purpose in Life. The results may look very
different for many folks. It may be that you take on a volunteering role in
community to of service. You may see the value to really working on becoming a
better parent, wife, husband, partner. Quit the job that is just a job,
and begin a new career that meshes with your Values.
Your purpose in life, may be to help the world be more peaceful. It all
starts with you.
... remember, be not only a Seeker on your Path, but a Finder as well.
